JEE (Main and Advanced)

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE ) is a centralised qualifying test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission into engineering colleges in India. Selection and Admission Process:

Admission into JEE Main and JEE Advanced involves several steps. Let’s break it down for both exams:

JEE Main:

    1. Qualify JEE Main: First, you need to qualify for the JEE Main exam by achieving the required cut-off score.

    2. JoSAA Counselling:

    • Register for JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling online after the JEE Main results are declared.
    • Fill in your preferences for colleges and courses.
    • JoSAA conducts seat allocation for NITs, IITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
    • The counselling process includes multiple rounds, and you can choose your preferred institute based on the allotted seats.
    • Pay the counselling fee (INR 45,000 for the general category; INR 20,000 for reserved categories).

    3. Document Verification and Admission:

    • Visit the allotted institute for document verification.
    • Submit high school documents and JEE Main scorecards.
    • Complete further admission formalities.
JEE Advanced:

    1. Qualify JEE Advanced: Achieve a qualifying rank in JEE Advanced.

    2. JoSAA Counselling:

    • Similar to JEE Main, register for JoSAA counselling.
    • Fill in your preferences for IITs and other participating institutions.
    • Rounds of seat allocation take place.
    • Visit the allotted IIT for document verification and admission.

    3. Supernumerary Seats and Special Rounds:

    • Some institutes (like NIT Calicut, NIT Durgapur, and SVNIT Surat) reserve supernumerary seats for specific categories.
    • CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) conducts special rounds for these seats.

    4. CSAB NEUT Counselling:

    • Candidates from North Eastern States and Union Territories participate in CSAB NEUT counselling.

School Integrated Programme (SIP) - It is a two year programme for students who want to pursue CBSE 11th and 12th class along with preparation for competitive entrance exams like JEE and NEET.

Achievers Programme - It is a one year programme for students who are appearing Class 12th or +2 exams or have passed Class 12th/+2 exams and are taking a preparatory break year.

The Achievers JEE Programme is a one-year programme designed for students who decide to take a break after their XIIth class or +2 for dedicated preparation for JEE, NEET and other competitive examinations. The study campus for this programme is IIG Academy’s City Centre in Infocity, Bhubaneswar.

At IIG Academy we follow the Triplex Method of Teaching that entails:
  • Teaching fundamental concepts with illustrative examples.
  • Building Analytical Ability with a stepwise explanation of different concepts and numerical problems.
